Marshae Anderson MA LLPC

Marshae Anderson is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) through the state of Michigan. She holds a Masters of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Marshae enjoys the variety in her profession both clinically and interpersonally, and therefore loves the diversity and uniqueness each client brings to the therapy space.

Marshae has vast experience successfully treating children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings, including outpatient practices, residential and intensive outpatient programs, and hospitals. From each, she has developed specific interest in working alongside adolescents, young adults, and adults to tackle issues ranging from life transitions, PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma abuse, and Eating Disorders.

Marshae feels strongly that an effective therapist customizes their therapeutic methods to match the client’s needs, strengths, and personality. From this trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered perspective, she often utilizes cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, existential, and solution focused approaches and techniques.

Marshae knows that formation of a therapeutic alliance that is built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect is imperative to effective therapy and can, at times, in and of itself be healing. It is her objective to walk with, challenge, and empower her clients to experience healing in a safe, accepting environment. Ultimately, it is her goal that those she encounters, either in her clinical practice or daily life, would know that they are inherently valuable, that suffering can be made meaningful, and that healing is possible.

When Marshae is not engaged in her professional work time, she appreciates quality time with friends and family, traveling, and explore new restaurants, and reading a good book.

Marshae is currently accepting new clients for in-person and telehealth sessions.
