Clinical Social Worker

A compassionate, trauma-informed space for teens and young adults to feel heard, build skills, and begin making sense of experiences that may have felt overwhelming.

Who I Work Best With

I especially enjoy working with teens, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, family or relationship stress, school pressure, or difficult life experiences.

Sometimes young people know exactly what is bothering them. Other times, they may simply know that they feel anxious, angry, shut down, overwhelmed, or unlike themselves.

I believe therapy can provide a place to slow things down, understand what is happening, develop tools for coping, and begin addressing the experiences underneath those reactions.

How I Work

My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, practical, and collaborative.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in both outpatient and community-based mental health settings. That experience has taught me the importance of understanding the entire context around a young person rather than looking only at a symptom or behavior.

I work with clients to identify what they are experiencing, understand patterns and triggers, develop practical strategies for managing difficult emotions, and gradually address trauma or painful experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable.

When working with teens, I also understand that family, school, friendships, development, independence, and identity can all affect mental health at the same time. Therapy should create space for that complexity.

My goal is not simply to tell someone how to cope. It is to help them understand themselves, strengthen the skills they already have, develop new ones where needed, and experience themselves as capable of meaningful change.
