Therapy with Rachel is interactive, transparent, and collaborative—you will not be expected to figure everything out alone.

Who I Work Best With

I enjoy working with adults who are trying to understand patterns that feel deeply ingrained—especially when trauma, attachment, childhood experiences, or relationship wounds are part of the picture.

You may feel emotionally detached, chronically activated, stuck in the same relationship dynamics, or aware that something from the past continues to affect you even when you cannot quite explain why.

I also work with couples who want to understand what is happening underneath conflict, disconnection, mistrust, or painful recurring patterns and begin creating greater safety and connection in their relationship.

How I Work

I believe therapy should fit the individual rather than asking the individual to fit therapy.

My style is interactive and transparent. I want you to know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and to feel comfortable telling me when something is—or is not—working for you.

Safety is especially important in trauma work. I regularly check in with clients about their experience and pace rather than assuming that moving faster means making more progress.

I also pay close attention to the relationship between the mind, body, attachment system, and nervous system. Sometimes what looks like an unhelpful thought or behavior makes much more sense when we understand what your system learned it needed to do to protect you.

With couples, I help partners slow down the cycle between them, understand the emotions and attachment needs underneath their reactions, and develop new ways of communicating and connecting.
